These terms apply to your use of abidinginpractice.com and to any course, membership, retreat, or resource offered through it. By using the site or purchasing from us, you agree to them.

Who we are

What we offer

We provide contemplative teaching, written and audio resources, courses, and community gatherings. Prices, inclusions, and dates are described on the page where an offering is sold.

Purchases and payment

Payment is due at the time of purchase unless a payment plan is offered and accepted. Where a plan is offered, each installment is charged automatically on schedule. All prices are in U.S. dollars.

Memberships and renewals

Monthly memberships renew automatically until you cancel. You may cancel at any time and will keep access through the end of the period you have already paid for. Email support@abidinginpractice.com to cancel.

Refunds

Saturday retreats

Request deadline. Refund requests must be made up to 7 days before the event. Requests received less than 7 days before the event date cannot be refunded.

Processing window. Once a refund is approved, it takes 7 to 14 business days for payment processors and banks to return the funds to your original card. This processing time is separate from the request deadline above.

Abiding in Practice (10-week course)

Refunds are based on the date of your refund request, measured from the cohort’s start date:

• Before the cohort starts, or within week 1 — full refund (100%)
• Weeks 2–3 — 50% refund
• After week 3 — no refund

If you enrolled on the 2-payment plan ($210 × 2):

• Before the cohort starts or within week 1 — full refund of the first payment, and the second payment is not charged.
• During weeks 2–3 — 50% refund of the first payment, and the second payment is not charged.
• After week 3 — no refund of the first payment, but any remaining payment is waived: you won’t be charged again, and access ends at that point.

Course refunds follow the same 7 to 14 business day processing window described above.

Memberships and free resources

The $29/month Hearth membership can be cancelled at any time — see Memberships and renewals above; cancelling stops future charges and access continues through the period you have already paid for. Free resources involve no payment and carry no refund.

Your account and conduct

Please keep your login details to yourself and treat other participants with kindness. We may remove access, without refund, for behavior that harms other participants.

Use of our materials

All written, audio, and visual materials remain our property. You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial practice. Please do not copy, resell, or redistribute them, or share them publicly, without our written permission.

Not professional advice

Our materials are spiritual and educational in nature. They are not medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice, and are not a substitute for care from a qualified professional.

Communications

By giving us your email address or mobile number, you agree we may contact you about the resources and purchases you requested. You may opt out of email at any time using the unsubscribe link, and out of text messages by replying STOP. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to the site or an offering is limited to the amount you paid us for it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page will show when. Continued use of the site means you accept the current version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States.
